Yves is Professor and Chair of Development Planning at Bartlett Development Planning Unit (DPU), University College London. From 2004 to 2006 he was lecturer in Urban Planning at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and an economist, planner and urban specialist. His research emphasizes collective and communal forms of tenure and CLTs as a central solution. Yves contributes to the implementation and transfer of the CLT model in new places and countries. For instance, he participated in the feasibility study of Brussels CLT and the Development Planning Unit was a part of the Belgian collective. Yves also helps connect CLTs with other alternatives that are implemented in different parts of the world. Recently, Yves authored a paper on collective and communal forms of tenure (which highlighted community land trusts) for the Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing in the United Nations.
