Renia Ehrenfeucht is a Professor and the Director of Community & Regional Planning at the University of New Mexico. She focuses on shrinking cities, examining how cities and urban residents respond to population loss, including the possibility for collective property ownership as populations decline. She is also interested in manufactured housing, historic preservation in shrinking regions and public space use and politics. She earned a PhD in Urban Planning from UCLA.
