Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in Peace Studies from Goucher College. She lived and worked in Baltimore, Maryland for several years after graduating. She worked as a bilingual legal assistant at CASA de Maryland and the Public Justice Center, primarily in cases involving unpaid wages to immigrant workers. Her other interests include tenants’ rights, affordable housing, immigrants’ rights, community development, and smart growth in urban planning.
