Jake is a graduate student in sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to returning to graduate school, he was a community organizer and policy advocate with WE ACT for Environmental Justice, and the campaign coordinator for the New York State Transportation Equity Alliance. He also conducted research on urban change in Bangalore, India. Jake’s current research interests lie in metropolitan transformation at the intersection of transportation justice and affordable housing, with a particular interest in property relations and community organizing. Jake is also on the Right to the City Alliance research committee.
