Deborah is an urban geographer with interests in place identity, urban politics, and legal geography. Her interests in land trusts focus on the community and place identities that they foster, and their formal and informal interactions with various levels of government (municipalities, states, and federal governments).  She is working on a collaborative research project with James DeFilippis at Rutgers and Joseph Pierce at Florida State examining the affects of geographical scope on CLTs.
