Catherine received her MSW from the University of Michigan and is a doctoral student in Loyola University Chicago’s Sociology department. Catherine has worked for nonprofit affordable housing developers in Chicago and Detroit, and on the implementation of Chicago’s 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness. Her research interests include urban social movements and policy making, gentrification, and the role of CLT’s in the development of new modes of democratic participation in urban planning processes.
