Policy Action Committee Meeting: September 2014
Policy Action Committee (PAC) Meeting: The State of the Nation’s Housing
Thank you for attending the September PAC Meeting!
The Joint Center for Housing Studies (JCHS) at Harvard University has released the 2014 edition of its State of the Nation’s Housing report. Chris Herbert PhD, JCHS’s Acting Managing Director & Research Director, joined us to review changes, challenges, and opportunities in the nation’s housing market and demographics. These trends hold significant implications for the current work and future directions of community land trusts and permanently affordable housing programs across the country. Participants heard about them and posed questions to one of the nation’s leading housing experts during the September Policy Action Committee webinar.
Dr. Herbert is on the Board of Directors of the Homeownership Preservation Foundation, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Community Development Research Advisory Council, and the Center for Responsible Lending Research Advisory Council. He holds a PhD in Public Policy from Harvard University and a BA from Dartmouth College. Dr. Herbert has published extensively on lower income and minority homeownership, including his most recent co-edited book, Homeownership Built to Last (2014).
