Policy Action Committee Meeting: Advocacy Strategies, Best Practices, and Benefits
Tuesday, February 24
11 AM Pacific / 2 PM Eastern – 60 minutes
The Network and Cornerstone Partnership invite you to the first Policy Action Committee Meeting of 2015! Building public awareness permanently affordable housing, the solutions it provides communities, and the barriers this type of housing faces is vital for the growth and sustainability of our field. This awareness-building is particularly important at the federal level, where major decisions are made about funding and financing that impacts these programs. Collectively, practitioners need to engage in strategic advocacy and relationship-building with elected officials. During this PAC meeting, participants will learn new strategies for engaging in federal advocacy to garner bipartisan support for the field and be called upon to act.
We hope you’ll join us!
The Network and Cornerstone Partnership also encourage attendees to take these insights and utilize them during the Advocacy Day which will occur Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Reach out to your federal elected officials and let them know how important federal funding and support is to permanently affordable housing, your organization, and your community! More information about Advocacy Day will be coming soon.
