Policy Action Committee Meeting: October 2013

The first half of the meeting focused on policy education. Michael Spotts, Senior Policy Analyst or Enterprise Community Partners, reviewed policy trends in transit-oriented development and affordable housing. Rick Jacobus, Director of Cornerstone Partnership, described the Network and Cornerstone’s joint initiative to incorporate permanently affordable housing into transit-oriented development policies and projects.

The second half of the meeting focused on policy action. Participants were asked for their feedback on a drafted letter to Senators who plan to introduce a new housing finance reform bill. Finally, participants were provided with information on Mel Watt’s nomination as director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
