The Network Takes Permanently Affordable Housing to Capitol Hill

March was a big month for advocacy at the Network, and it would not have been possible without the support of our members and our board. Through our online Advocacy Day, over 100 letters went to 122 legislators to tell them to protect federal funding for affordable housing. On March 16th and 17th, Network staff, board members, and six resident ambassadors met with the offices of over 60 legislators from both parties urging them to expand HUD appropriations, protect HOME and CDBG, remove HOME regulator barriers for CLTs, and expand credit access for low income and shared equity homeownership.

We won’t stop there! Check out our advocacy web page for more policy news and opportunities to get involved.
