THE 2010 CLT MANUAL: The Technical Guide for CLTs -- NEW!

Hot off the presses -- a total of 19 chapters from the new CLT MANUAL. The CLT Manual is the successor to the landmark 2002 ICE Legal Manual, substantially updated and revised. Work on the CLT Manual will continue well into 2010, and includes two very important chapters -- a revised model ground lease, and a new chapter on condominiums. We will be releasing each chapter as it is completed -- so stay tuned.

Starting a CLT

The Community Land Trust is a model of great versatility, leading to wide variation in the ways in which a CLT is structured and applied. Starting a Community Land Trust: Organizational and Operational Choices is an introductory manual prepared by John Emmeus Davis.

2002 ICE Legal Manual

At long last, we are making available a PDF version of the entire 2002 ICE Legal Manual -- free of charge! Many thanks to Equity Trust, a great organization that has made it possible for us to post this wonderful resource online.

Model Ground Lease

The ICE Model Ground Lease is a central document in the CLT movement. The CLT Network is in the process of a comprehensive revision to the model ground lease, working with an editorial board made up of many of the people who contributed to the 2002 ICE Model Ground Lease -- with work to be complete in 2010 (including Fannie Mae approval) -- so stay tuned.
